5 award-winning chefs, 5 mountain huts, 5 walking trails: from July to September, gourmets who enjoy hiking will have plenty to enjoy. This year, stars of the kitchen will once again create a dish of their own which will stay on the menu of “their” hut the whole summer long. The patron of the event is the chef of the century, Eckart Witzigmann. Silvretta Run 3000 – July 19
It’s time to lace up the running shoes again. And okay, a bit of practice won’t hurt either if you want to run over a three thousand metre peak from Ischgl to Galtür. But the Silvretta Run is not just for professional trail runners, amateurs can also give it a go. On this run right across the Tyrolean alpine landscape, you can choose between three different routes with different degrees of difficulty. Top of the Mountain Biker Summit – July 26 to July 28
Ischgl heats up at the end of July – when all those who love the freedom of being on two wheels meet up. This year’s “Top of the Mountain Biker Summit” has motorbike test drives and guided tours on the programme – and, like every year, the traditional motorbike parade. But it’s certainly not boring away from the road either: in the biker village, invited DJs and stunt shows keep the visitors in party mood. And the newest brand models from BMW, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha and Aprilia are available for test rides in the “Paznaun High Bike Test Centre.”
Ischgl Ironbike – July 31 to August 3
The Ischgl Ironbike covers a distance of 75.8 kilometres and an altitude difference of 3,700 metres. So you can imagine how this bike race calls for nerves – or better still, calves – of steel. The “Ischgl Ironbike” takes place for the 25th time this year, an anniversary which the organizers are keen to celebrate. So in 2019 all the athletes born in 1994 can take part free of charge. Prize money of 40,000 euros awaits the winner.
