Like the fitness app Runtastic, Snocru can map different routes you’ve skied and compare one with another. As well as distance and speed, the programme records altitude and angle of inclination. The data can then be shared immediately on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
ChekYeti now allows you to both compare courses and book them straightaway. The offers range from ski courses to snow shoe hikes or freeride tours. To book, you just have to enter the area you’re interested, the activity and the start date. And what’s great is that you can also be guided by customer ratings.
As its name implies, with SnowSafe you’re on the safe side. The app lets you know the current situation and weather conditions on the slopes and warns you in time of any potential avalanche risk. You also find out what the snow’s like on the piste and how steep the slope is. The app is available for all the major ski areas in Austria and is free of charge.
