IMPROVE YOUR INSTA: GOOD PHOTOS IN NOT VERY GOOD WEATHER

Let’s be honest, it’s not very easy taking photos in the snow. But then again, snow photos are what makes skiing holidays special. So here are a couple of quick tips for that perfect Instagram snow photo.

Colours: in a white snowscape, colours always look good. Keep an eye out for cars, colourful houses or a brightly-dressed person.

Watch out for darkness! Before your take your photo, you really should adjust your smartphone’s exposure value – otherwise the picture will be too grey. It’s really easy: first focus on the subject of your photo with your finger and then just swipe up on the screen to increase the brightness.

Just in case: you’d like to have snowflakes in your picture but it’s not snowing? The Mextures app simulates falling snow, and makes any snow photo that little bit better – but you’re very unlikely to have this problem in Ischgl.

#yesFilter: when your photo is ready, edit it with VSCO, an app available from all app stores. If your photo is still too boring, use the black and white filter. It makes any photo a bit more exciting.
