TRISANNA MAGAZINE BOWS OUT

With the early end to this 2019/20 season, we, the team at Trisanna, bid farewell to you, our faithful readers. Over the past five years, we’ve worked hard to bring you 1 371 articles, give you insights into Paznaun, provide clear background information and, more than anything, throw a spotlight on the people who shape this exceptional valley.  Trisanna Magazine is closing today. We, too, would have liked to see the season go out on its planned high at the end of May – after another 40 or more wonderful days of skiing and après ski.
We’d like to thank the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourism Association, who gave us the opportunity to produce an original magazine focused on more than just the tourist side of valley life – in particular, long-term chairman Alfons Parth, who looked after us from the very beginning until he stepped down from this role. Our thanks go also to the two managing directors, Dietmar Walser and Andreas Steibl, who made every effort to support us and always championed the project.
Thank you also to the many people of Paznaun who made themselves available for interviews, photo shoots, tips and feedback, and whose contributions helped us make Trisanna Magazine so special.
We’d like to take a quick look back at a couple of highlights from the past few years. Such as the stories that Kappl’s former mayor, Josef Wechner, told us as “The Trisannist”: here, here or here.
Or the many amazing looks back into the history of the valley: here, here, here, here, here, here or here.
The wonderful drawings of our cartoonist Ernst and many other illustrators: here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
The contributions from our photographers, who have worked so hard to capture the beauty of the valley in a very special way: here, here, here, here, here, here or here.
Our mouthwatering articles on the culinary delights of the valley have focused on the smallest delicacies just as much as the finest dishes in the valley, and brought us great tips for cooking at home, too: here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here or here.
We’ve brought you in-depth insights into the valley’s culture, and uncovered lots of treasures: here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here or here.
We’ve explored the (sometimes not so easy) dialect spoken in the valley: here, here, here, here or here.
Of course, we’ve also followed the history of tourism in Paznaun, and we’ve been able to show you some fantastic finds: here, here, here, here, here or here.
Sport in the valley was clearly also a big theme – and often in slightly unusual ways: here, here, here, here, here or here.
Big concerts and parties have inspired us to put together a series of Trisanna playlists: here, here, here, here or here.

The most popular articles have always been the ones where the people of the valley took centre stage: the people who shared the details of their lives and hobbies and showed us how we live, love and work beyond tourism. Men, women, young, old, farmers, athletes, workers, doctors. In our “Paznaun People” feature, we’ve profiled more than a hundred people from See to Galtür. There are just a couple of them here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here or here.
And finally, here, the most popular article from five years of Trisanna Magazine.

We hope for all the people in Ischgl and throughout Paznaun that the good times we’ve enjoyed here so much can start again soon. See you then!
