There are many sophisticated cocktails which taste pretty amazing. But they’re really special when they’re smoking and flaming, too. One of the best barkeepers in Ischgl lights up a drink for Trisanna each Sunday in advent. Today, to conclude the series: Brown Derby.
Bar 67 in Hotel Post is one of Ischgl’s best addresses if you’re after a really good cocktail. So for advent, we’ve asked head barkeeper Dominik Brunner to show us his hottest drinks – in the truest sense of the word (1, 2 and 3).

“A drink for everyone who wants to be served something unusual. What makes it so special is that during the smoking, the fumes get into the foamy head, and each time an air bubble bursts, the smell of the wood comes out again. Your nose drinks, too.”
Dominik Brunner, 30, comes originally from Horn in Lower Austria. This winter marks his eighth season working in Hotel Post and Bar 67, where he’s been head barkeeper since 2016. He lives all year round in Ischgl – and yes, you won’t just find him behind the bar, but also out on skis in the mountains.
