There are many sophisticated cocktails which taste pretty amazing. But what makes them really special is when they’re smoking and flaming, too. One of the best barkeepers in Ischgl lights up a drink for Trisanna each Sunday in advent. Today: Mai Tai Fancy.

Bar 67 in Hotel Post is one of Ischgl’s best addresses if you’re after a really good cocktail. So for advent, we’ve asked head barkeeper Dominik Brunner to show us his hottest drinks – in the truest sense of the word.

“An interesting drink from the 80s and 90s for anyone who likes rum-based drinks but doesn’t want anything too strong. A drink which is always popular. And don’t forget, we do offer all the classics like this one. Even if they aren’t on the menu.”


Dominik Brunner, 30, comes originally from Horn in Lower Austria. This winter marks his eighth season working in Hotel Post and Bar 67, where he’s been head barkeeper since 2016. He lives all year round in Ischgl – and yes, you won’t just find him behind the bar, but also out on skis in the mountains.
