DJ Ötzi is a star, and everyone knows his hits like “Anton aus Tirol” or “Ein Stern”. His concerts are usually sold out – and today the singer is guesting in Kappl. Here are five things you never knew about DJ Ötzi.
As we all know, DJ Ötzi’s career began with a karaoke competition. But he’s actually a trained chef – because his grandmother wanted him to be.
This July, the hit “Anton aus Tirol” celebrates its twentieth birthday – the song that led to his big breakthrough.
Whilst the reaction to his song “Burger Dance” was rather, shall we say, reserved in the German-speaking world, it was number one in the Japanese charts for a long time.
The pop star’s favourite drink is apple juice. He likes it best with sparkling water. With bubbles, of course. DJ Ötzi lives a life in the soda class.
DJ Ötzi spends a lot of time on the road touring. He also travels privately from time to time – such as in 2017, when he went on a pilgrimage along the Way of St. James, 240 kilometres in 16 days.
You have the opportunity to see DJ Ötzi live, today, at the eighth Kappl Mountain Cableway Open Air.
When: 24 March, 2019.
